Outreach Workers Education - Birmingham, Solihull

Salary £19,000 - £24,500 depending on experience

The Outreach Workers provide individually tailored learning programmes, motivation and support for young people who are NEET (not in education, employment or training) in line with project delivery plans. They work with learning providers, partner organisations and the project team to deliver a diverse range of non-traditional learning opportunities to NEET young people.

They work with a caseload of young people undertaking initial assessments to draw up and implement an individual learning plan for them, review progress and create an exit plan. They proactively maintain contact with their young people motivating them to engage in learning activities and support them during their learning to achieve accreditation and progress in to a positive destination.

The Outreach Workers will have experience of working directly with young people who have a range of difficulties assessing their needs and providing them with practical assistance in group and one to one situations. They will have excellent interpersonal and administration skills paying close attention to detail. They will be self motivated and have the ability to develop innovative ways of working with young people.
