The Project Management role involves managing the development and establishment of an academy to ensure that the desired educational outcomes are achieved within the time and budget parameters set for the project. You?ll be accountable for ensuring the successful delivery of academy projects to the designated Project Director for the project. You?ll also be required to report externally to DCSF (Department of Children, Schools and Families), Sponsors and other key stakeholders as appropriate taking into account that DCSF are the client for the project. Line management will be provided by the appropriate Client Director for the Region. You should have the following exp:- Strong influencing, negotiation + advocacy skills; Exp of working in a public sector environment especially Education; Proven experience of motivating teams in a multi skilled environment to meet project objectives; Successful track record in building effective working relationships at all levels and to reinforce partnering concepts; Past exp in delivering projects in multi stakeholder environments; Ability to anticipate project issues + risks + proactive approach in addressing these and presenting possible solutions to client; Ability to project presence + gravitas in a client environment; Degree qualified; 5 years min exp in directing + leading teams in the delivery of projects
You?ll be responsible for the following:- Management of the feasibility +/or implementation stages for academy projects in accordance with the requirements of DCSF + company standards; Ensure the project complies with all DCSF protocols, procedures + reporting requirements as may exist at the time of delivering the project; Development of + monitoring of project brief, project plan + budget plan; Implementation of monitoring mechanisms to track project progress against time + budget plans to identify + resolve issues internally + externally to enable corrective action to be taken as required; Internal weekly forecast reports of project resource / budget expenditure; Ensure that project team roles, responsibilities + inputs are clearly defined for delivering the project; Coordinate the activities, + provide day to day direction + guidance to team members on the status of the project + on specific risks + issues that need to be addressed; Maintain a current awareness of education policy particularly in relation to Academies;
