Our client?s establishment provides a regime for young men which is consistent with the Youth Justice Boards Strategy for Secure Estate for Children and Young People, and which focuses on providing education and vocational training and reducing reoffending.
You will need to have been in working with Young Offenders (15 -18 Year Olds) within a purpose built vocational training centre. You must have experience within a teaching setting, ideally educational or with Young Offenders, and hold a recognised teaching qualification.
The role will involve devising curriculum plans and ensuring that the national curriculum offered is broad and balanced. You must be qualified to NVQ level4 and should possess a strong level of both spoken and written English and Mathematics and have a clear communication style. All applicants should possess a current CRB disclosure (less than six months old) or be in the process of having one undertaken.
Car driver essential as role will involve travel throughout Reading & Surrey.
