I am looking for a mechanical engineer with a recognised mechanical or gas engineering qualification and sound relevant technical and practical knowledge to deliver the highest quality cyclical maintenance and improvement programmes across a range of communal mechanical systems in partnership with residents.

Assisting the Senior Mechanical Engineer with preparations for annual budgets, projects, technical standards and briefs, you?ll assess and advise on the physical condition of communal mechanical services plants and equipment. You?ll also need to have an experience of carrying out a range of major maintenance work to communal plants in existing buildings and have knowledge of preparing contracts, drawings and specifications. District Heating and water systems experience is an absolute must for the role.

Main Functional Links:

Officers within various sections of the TMO in respect of maintenance works, energy conservation, rehabilitation and day-to-day repairs to the housing stock managed by the Company TMO.
Other departments of the Council who control properties serviced by the TMO.
Statutory undertakers for all work covered by Regulations.
Officers of the Councils Finance Department in respect of financial and insurance matters related to properties under TMO management.
Officers of the Councils Legal Department regarding advice on contractual and other legal matters.
All outside contractors involved in repair and maintenance of TMO managed properties.
